A Credit Analyst's Primer
The Credit Analyst's Primer was written based on what I learned working as a Credit Analyst for Corus Bank in Chicago, IL. It is quite long. Enjoy.
Chapter 1: The Basics of Underwriting
Chapter 2: Documentation
Chapter 3: Problem Loans
Chapter 4: Construction Lending
Chapter 5: Procedures
Chapter 6: Advanced
The word "primer" (pronounced "primmer") was intended to suggest "a small book of elementary principles" [per Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, third edition]. This meaning seems to have gone out of currency. Some readers pronounce "primer" to rhyme with "climber." With this pronunciation it should mean either an undercoat of paint or something that sets off an explosion-I wonder which they have in mind.
