Hello Saul!
How are you? Nice to have you writing in about my album. Your kind words
and the facts about people's reactions to my music are a great favour to
my 4-years-work on that stuff. Also a confirmation to my own ideas about
the people in other countries. The "Brain" and my publisher's are not
able to get their agents to release my album in Britain or the USA,
because these people think it's no perfect piece of work. I was sad about that
but your letter gives another hope to me. Maybe it depends on such opinions
like your's that EROC will come out in the states.
I phoned "Brain" to tell them about the news you wrote. They said, they
will contact some Ira Blacker in the USA, and he maybe will phone you some
day. He is a distributor I think or something, If you can tell him such
good news about EROC maybe he'll do something for my music in your
country. It will be nice and I like to thank you again.
The "Brain" promised me to send a copy of our new GROBSCHNITT album over
to you. It's called "Jumbo" and we all think it is three times better in
sound and stuff than "Ballermann". That is because we could work on it
during a time of 3 months and for the double-album we only had 6 days, one
after the other. I think the "Jumbo is a good step for the group and I
hope you'll get it soon.
Only there's some bad thing. The first 3000 "Jumbos" are not very loud and
on one track there are some little drop-outs. Maybe no one will notice
that, it depends on a not so good cutting of the record but another better
cutting will be done next week, and the next LP's will be louder and
without faults. I think, you will get one of the first one's from the
3000, and I want you to know, that it could be a little better than you'll
hear it. Maybe when "Jumbo" comes over to the states, than the better one's
will be out.
At the moment there are no plans to tour the states. GROBSCHNITT has to
develop a little, I think, before can go abroad. You know, we even have no
roadies and so on. At the moment a tour is too expensive for us. But I
know, someday we will come!
Greetings to all the listeners and all at your station!
EROC (From Germany)
