Chance the Schoolmaster

My tall chestnut associate, Chance, is an Appaloosa-Arab cross who makes his living as a schoolmaster at Greathouse Farm, Gainesville, FL. Chance has had an illustrious career as a Western reining horse, and has shown through second-level dressage. He's a clever representative of his species, and despite being nearly blind he has shown his worth as a riding horse and a teaching horse.

Chance has been trying patiently to teach me the basics and subtleties of dressage for nearly two years now. Best of all, he's working to show me what horses are all about. Chance can be stubborn, willful, excitable about the "goblins" he sees hiding behind the pasture fence; and, he can be almost impossible to catch. However, a spirited personality and a clever mind make a fine collaborator. I can't wait to try catching him tomorrow.
