• Science Fiction Fandom: Fandom is a multifarious beast, consisting of people and activities related to, occurring at, or attending science fiction conventions. You'll find my convention reports here. Updated April 2001
  I regularly attend several local Chicago-area conventions, like DucKon, WindyCon, and CapriCon. I also, in August 2000, attended the Chicago Worldcon, Chicon 2000.
• Filk: The folk music of science fiction fandom is perhaps one of the simplest definitions. To me, it's something between a hobby and an obsession; but it's definitely creative, and often more musical than what you hear on the radio (with infinitely more interesting words!) C'mon in for more definitions and discussion, and a goodly helping of annotated links so you can look into it for yourself, should you choose. Vintage September 2000
